When water bottle cap mold cavity more than 32 cavities, mold have to be designed with hot runner system. Because cold runner can not full fill large quantity cavity no. cap mold. Compare with cold runner, hot runner system water cap mold can get shorter cycle time and no runner material wast. But hot runner mold cost is higher, and hot runner system need to be maintained sometime.
Bottle cap mould steel
Compare with other plastic injection mold, such as commodity items mold, water bottle cap mold structure is much more complex. Usually have to use lots of inserts. Inserts quality alomost means water bottle cap mould quality. Xs Plastic Mould Co., Ltd use S136, H13, 2316, etc. mold steel to make the inserts. Hardness from 48hrc to 52hrc. And some water bottle cap mould inserts have movement during mould demould. So we have to insure the inserts quality.
Most of water bottle cap need to be made logo on the top face. The logo usually made on the cap by chemical texture process. Logo design and sizes need to be provided by client. Cavity no. mark and plastic material recycle symbol made inside of the cap. The purpose to make cavity no. on the water bottle cap mold is in order to easily find problem cavity when problem happened.
