Mould steel of plastic cap mould

In order to construct best quality plastic cap mold, we apply hard mould steel and high grade mold standard component all the time. Usually S136,2316,H13,4Cr13,3Cr13 these high quality mould steel are widely used for building cap mold. However, sometimes we found some clients ask for P20,718 this kind pre-harden steel for cap mold, to be honest, we don’t suggest these mold steel. Becasue in order to achieve 48-52HRC hardness, mould steel need vacuum hardening and quenching treatment, but P20,718 is not harden enough, easily get damage.

Screw inside of plastic cap

As we know there is thread or screw inside of plastic bottle cap. Some threads are deep,somes are not.When firstly seeing cap sample or cap drawing, our engineer immediately know which ejector system available for that cap mould. For making cap mould, stripping plate ejector and unscrewing ejector are normal ejector system and applicatable to almost plastic cap moulds. Most flip top cap mould(shampoo cap mould, lotion cap mould,etc), pharmaceutical cap mould, cosmetic cap mould(tube cap mould,etc) all these need unscrewing ejector system.

We have good technology of making unscrew ejector plastic cap mold. There are two designs of unscrewing ejector,hydraulic cylinder unscrewing and hydraulic motor unscrewing. Both these two designs are applied alot in our cap mould producing.

Bottle Cap Mould

Apart from flip top cap mold, we made lots of water bottle plastic cap mold.Normally bulk cavity is designed,such as 16,24,32,48 cavity and more.Building water bottle plastic cap mold, becasue of large cavities,hot runner system have to be used for good injection molding result. We do vocuum quenching harden treatment on core and cavity,guarentee plastic cap mold mold life is more than 1million shots. After harden treatment, core and cavity steel,such as H13, S136 hardness around 48-52HRC.

Cap Mould Machining Equipments

Plastic cap mould need lathe processing and CNC engraving machining mainly. XS Plastic Mould have complete CNC tooling center, which including CNC milling machines, CNC engraving machines, CNC lathe machines. In addition to these machines, we also have electric discharging machines(EDM). With strict quality control, our cap mould basically 1.2 million shots life time. And we guarteen mould delivery time within 35-55days for plastic cap moulds.
